Family, pets escape house fire in Point Pleasant

Point Pleasant — A loved ones and their animals escaped a property fire Sunday that erupted about 3 p.m. on Pleasant Position, according to borough law enforcement.

Arriving police evacuated neighboring houses as a precaution and closed a portion of Herbertsville Street even though crisis responders fought the hearth, in accordance to Law enforcement Captain Adam Picca.

The inhabitants of the home were being not wounded, but a neighbor who was outside the house at the time was taken care of for smoke inhalation, Picca mentioned in a information release.

The Ocean County Fire Marshal deemed the fire not suspicious, but did not specify the origin, the law enforcement captain said.
